We miss you dearly, Mum. Your laughter and love filled our days, and your absence leaves a void that can’t be filled. We’d give anything for one more debrief.

We would like to convey our thanks to everyone for donating in memory of Maggie Shone to aid us in our work at The Donkey Sanctuary. We are very grateful to everyone for remembering Maggie in this way. We care for over 6,600 donkeys on a daily basis on Sanctuary farms in the UK, Ireland and Europe and this will also enable us to give comfort and medical aid to others less fortunate through our international projects and partners. Our thoughts are with you all.

After what has been a long journey in recent years together with my sweetheart Maggie, my best friend and mum to my two daughters Emma and Lisa passed away peacefully in her sleep. Maggie was rushed to hospital once again on Wednesday evening with complication’s and with life ebbing away I was able to get her home to be with her family at her passing. We have been together since Maggie was 15yrs and myself 17yrs, we were so happy together. For her to be home was her wish and her family with her myself, Emma, Faye, Lisa and Rob and her bestest friend “Little Alfie”. I will miss her so much. Maggie you’ll always be the prettiest flower in the garden. I love you Maggie R.I.P.
